What is Preekie?
Preekie is AI finance staff for Australian accounting practices and businesses. It takes on the routine work of a finance function on top of the ledger you already use, then sends every piece of work to a person for sign-off before anything goes out.
What accounting work can Preekie do?
Preekie is built for the routine finance function: transaction coding, bank and control account reconciliations, source document checks, compliance and BAS preparation, payables and receivables, payroll support, period close and management reporting. Each kind of work is switched on only after it passes its tests on real data, so what is available grows deliberately rather than all at once.
Can Preekie code transactions that have not been entered yet?
No, and no accounting app outside Xero can. Xero does not make unreconciled bank feed lines available to any external application. What Preekie does instead is notice when a client has stopped entering transactions, tell you how long the gap has run and which regular payments are missing, and rank that against the client's next deadline.
Does Preekie replace an accountant?
No. Preekie prepares the work and a named person approves it. In a practice that person is the registered agent or the reviewer they nominate. In a business it is the authorised person, or their accountant.
Does Preekie replace Xero or MYOB?
No. Preekie works on top of the ledger you already use. Your ledger stays your ledger, and Preekie writes back to it only after a person approves the work.
Who approves the work Preekie prepares?
A named person, every time. Approval requires a fresh code from that person's authenticator app, and the approval is recorded in the audit trail with the evidence it was based on.
Can Preekie lodge with the ATO?
Preekie prepares the return and the workpaper behind it. Lodgement happens under a registered agent, or under the business's own authorised contact, once that person has approved it.
How does Preekie work across many clients at once?
Finance staff work through tasks one after another. Preekie runs them side by side across every client file connected to the account, and hands each piece of finished work to a reviewer as it completes.
Is Preekie available now?
Access is by request while the first practices and businesses are onboarded in Australia. Xero and MYOB integrations are in development.
Who is Preekie for?
Australian accounting and bookkeeping practices running client portfolios, and small to mid-size businesses with an in-house finance person. Practices are sized by client companies; businesses by users.
Who makes Preekie?
Preekie is a product of CPAI Australia Pty Ltd, ACN 674 037 668, an Australian company. Its brand line is Beyond limits.
