Version 1.1 · Approved 19 October 2026 · Effective 19 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of Preekie Software ("Preekie"). Preekie is a product of CPAI Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 674 037 668) ("CPAI", "we", "us"). You accept these terms when you first sign in. If you use Preekie on behalf of an organisation, you accept them for that organisation as well as for yourself.
1. Access to Preekie Software
- Access is by invitation only. There is currently no fee. If we introduce fees, we will tell you in advance and you can choose whether to continue.
- Preekie Software is still being developed. Features may change, be removed, work incorrectly or be unavailable, and we may make changes without notice.
- We may suspend or end Preekie Software, or your access, at any time. Where we can, we will tell you first.
2. What Preekie does, and does not do
Preekie connects to your organisation's Xero file with read-only access. It looks for possible gaps in bookkeeping, such as bank activity that appears not to be coded or reconciled, and shows upcoming lodgement deadlines.
If Meetings is available to your organisation, Preekie can also record a meeting from your own computer or phone, when you choose to, and turn it into a transcript and draft notes for your review. Section 6 sets out the rules for recording.
Preekie does not:
- change, post or delete anything in your Xero file;
- lodge anything with the ATO or any other authority;
- start, join or record a meeting by itself;
- give tax, accounting, financial or legal advice.
Findings are inferred from patterns in your ledger and can be wrong or incomplete. Draft meeting notes are prepared by AI from a transcript, and transcripts and notes can mishear, miss or misattribute what was said. You, and your accountant or other advisers, remain responsible for your books, your lodgements and any decision you make. Always check a finding or a meeting note against your records before acting on it.
3. Your account
- Your login is for you alone. Don't share your password or your authenticator app.
- Signing in requires a password and a code from an authenticator app.
- Tell us straight away at hello@preekie.com if you lose the device holding your authenticator, or think someone else has used your account. We will verify your identity before resetting access.
- We may suspend an account to protect you, your organisation or Preekie.
4. Authority to connect your organisation
You confirm that you, or the person who connected your organisation's Xero file, are authorised to give Preekie read-only access to it. You will only see information about the organisation(s) your access covers.
5. Using Preekie properly
You must not:
- try to access information about any organisation other than your own;
- attempt to bypass, probe or test Preekie's security, except with our written permission;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell Preekie, or use it to build a competing product;
- use Preekie in breach of any law.
6. Recording meetings
When you record a meeting with Preekie:
- you must be taking part in the meeting yourself;
- before you start recording, you must tell everyone taking part that the meeting will be recorded and why, and obtain their agreement. Preekie shows you a notice you can read out;
- you must tell anyone who joins after recording has started, and stop recording if anyone objects;
- you are responsible for complying with the recording and privacy laws that apply where you and each participant are;
- you must not record a meeting with anyone under 18, or a medical or health consultation;
- if you record a call using your computer's entire sound output, you must wear headphones and close other audio, because Preekie records everything your computer plays while recording.
Before each recording you confirm in Preekie that everyone has agreed. We keep a record of that confirmation, the notice wording you were shown, and when.
7. Confidentiality
Preekie Software, including its features, screens and findings, is confidential. Please don't share screenshots or details of it outside your organisation and your advisers without our consent. We keep your organisation's information confidential and handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Feedback
We welcome feedback through the "Send feedback" link. You agree that we may use any feedback to improve Preekie without owing you anything. Please don't include more personal or financial information in feedback than you need to.
9. Your data
- Your organisation owns its data. You give us permission to access and use it only to provide Preekie Software, keep it secure, and meet our legal obligations.
- Meeting recordings, transcripts and notes are your organisation's data. Recordings are deleted once they have been transcribed. How long we keep transcripts and notes is set out in our Privacy Policy.
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We keep a record of sign-ins and of each time client data is viewed, for security. These records are kept for one year and cannot be altered or deleted during that period.
10. Security
We protect Preekie with measures including encryption, two-factor sign-in, separation between organisations, monitoring and audit records, with data held in Australia. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee Preekie will be free from unauthorised access. If we become aware of a data breach affecting you, we will tell you as required by law.
11. No warranties
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Preekie Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without any other warranty, including as to accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or any loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from Preekie Software;
- we are not liable for any loss arising from a decision you or your advisers make based on a finding, a transcript or a meeting note;
- our total liability to you in connection with Preekie Software is limited to AUD 100.
Where our liability for failing to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the services again or paying for them to be supplied again.
13. Ending your access, and general terms
- You may stop using Preekie at any time. Ask us at hello@preekie.com to close your account or disconnect your organisation's Xero file. What happens to your data then is set out in our Privacy Policy.
- If a data agreement between your organisation and CPAI conflicts with these terms, the data agreement prevails in relation to your organisation's data.
- We may update these terms. If we do, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and each party submits to the courts of Victoria.
